Beyond Homes Scholarship Program
Applications Accepted Annually Between February 1 – March 15!
The Beyond Homes Scholarship Program offers three unique opportunities for youth and young adult residents age 17-28 to earn financial aid for college, university, vocational school, or other certificate programs. All scholarships are awarded through a competitive application that includes an online application, essay responses, letters of recommendation, a high school transcript or Graduate Equivalency Degree (GED) credential, and in-person interview.
Building Hope Award
$2,500 per year, up to four years
- Maximum award $10,000
- Graduating high school senior with GPA >= 3.5
- Enrolled or plan to attend a two or four-year university, college, vocational, or certificate program
- If community college, renewable upon transition to accredited four-year institution
- Reside at a property owned by Abode Communities
Awards are made directly to the institution and can be used to pay for tuition, books, supplies, and living expenses!
Building Equity Award
$2,500 per year, up to two years
- Maximum award up to $5,000
- Residents ages 17-28
- A high school graduate with a GPA >=2.0 or GED score >=400
- Enrolled or plan to attend a community college, vocational school, or certificate program
- Reside at an Abode Communities-owned property
Awards are made directly to the institution to cover tuition, books, and supplies!

The Beyond Homes Scholarship Program is made possible through the generosity of donors and supporters dedicated to helping residents achieve long-term economic mobility through housing and access to education. Established by Abode Communities, this donor-advised fund is administered in partnership with California Community Foundation.
