Beyond Homes Scholarship Program
Abode Communities is deeply committed to ensuring its residents have the resources, tools, and support needed to achieve higher education.
In addition to the academic and career planning services offered through Abode Communities’ resident services program, Beyond Homes, the organization offers two unique academic scholarship opportunities for residents to pursue a two- or four-year college, university, vocational/trade school, or certificate program. All scholarship awards are made directly to the educational institution and can be used to pay for tuition, books, living expenses, and more!
Abode Communities Scholarship Fund C150 is administered in partnership with California Community Foundation. There are two opportunities available:
Building Hope Fund
$2,500 per year, up to $10,000 over four years
Graduating high school seniors
Minimum GPA of 3.5
Building Equity Fund
$2,500 per year, up to $5,000 over two years
Students aged 17- 28
Minimum GPA of 2.0 or GED Score of 400
Annual Applications Accepted Between February 1 and March 15
In addition to meeting the prerequisites above, you will be required to submit the following application components:
- Current resident of Abode Communities
- Academic Achievements
- Community Activities
- Essay Questions
- Two (2) Signed Letters of Character
- High School Transcript or GED Score Verification
Please submit only ONE (1) application. Abode Communities’ Scholarship Committee will make fund assignments upon candidate evaluation.
