BUSD Workforce Housing
Abode Communities, in partnership with its development partner, will co-develop a new affordable workforce housing project on a section of the Berkeley Adult School parking lot along San Pablo Avenue. The proposed six-story building will feature approximately 110 rental apartment homes, with a preference given to individuals and families employed by the Berkeley Unified School District. The development will include a resident center with a kitchen, smaller indoor gathering spaces, and a spacious outdoor courtyard, as well as replacement parking for the Berkeley Adult School.
