Sindy Spivak manages Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s team of community development experts who provide financial solutions for affordable and mixed-income housing developments. Spivak has more than 25 years of experience in underwriting, originating, and managing financial products for a wide array of commercial real estate developments, including affordable multifamily housing, retail shopping centers, hotels, for-sale housing, warehouses, office buildings, faith-based corporations, social services providers, and quasi-government agencies.

Lisa Gutierrez

Lisa Gutierrez leads the U.S. Bank’s affordable housing debt platform. With more than 13 years of affordable housing financing experience, Gutierrez’s expertise includes managing Low-Income Housing Tax Credit and tax-exempt bond business development efforts for seven states in the western region. She has experience negotiating and serving as a resource for the U.S. Bank team in structuring deal terms and conditions with developers, syndicators, and other financing sources.
Gutierrez serves on a number of boards including the California Housing Consortium (CHC), California Community Reinvestment Corporation (CCRC), Housing Trust of Silicon Valley, and LifeSteps. She also serves on the Advisory Board for Jamboree Housing Corporation.

John Arnold has been with KFA Architecture since 1999, working on a full range of urban-infill, multifamily housing types, including affordable family, special needs, and senior housing; adaptive reuse projects; hotels; and market-rate apartments and condominiums. He has an abiding interest in making cities better places for people at both the individual and the public level by designing livable units within lively, diverse urban places.
Arnold is an active volunteer on his South LA neighborhood’s PLUM committee, with a focus on TOC projects. He has served on Los Angeles City design advisory boards since 2007. Arnold is also a current member on Abode Communities’ architecture advisory committee.
