Harrower Village
Originally built in 1921, The Harrower Laboratory and Clinic served as a medical campus for nationally recognized endocrinologist Henry Harrower and was acquired by the City of Glendale in 2019. The City enlisted Abode Communities to perform an adaptive re-use of three existing buildings and add one newly constructed building for the provision of affordable senior housing. Senior residents will benefit from onsite resident services aimed to help seniors improve health outcomes and age in place independently. Harrower Village is listed on the Glendale Register of Historic Resources and as part of this project will be listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
