Abode Communities is SCANPH’s 2018 Developer of the Year

On September 28, 2018, joined by some 800 friends and colleagues, Abode Communities was honored by the Southern California Association for Nonprofit Housing (SCANPH) as its 2018 Developer of the Year. Celebrating its 50th anniversary, Abode Communities will have completed construction and began lease-up on more than 500 new affordable homes for some 1,700 low-income people including parents, children, seniors, and veterans. The organization’s pipeline is robust and highlights innovative mixed-use developments, Permanent Supportive Housing, farmworker housing, creative land partnerships, and most uniquely, a charter boarding school serving Transition Age Youth.

These are exciting times, and Abode Communities’ development success in the creation and preservation of affordable housing lay on the shoulders of its stellar team, which is featured above from left, Lara Regus, Sara Tsay, Sue Keintz, Maegan Pearson, Robin Hughes, Candice Hung, Chul Gugich, Lupe Cortez, Holly Benson, and Cassie Gogreve.
