How to Apply
La Veranda includes 38 supportive rental units for families experiencing homelessness and 38 affordable units for family households whose income falls between 20% and 50% Area Median Income.
Supportive Units
All supportive units are leased through the Coordinated Entry System (CES). To learn more about how to enter the CES or get support in finding immediate shelter, please visit Los Angeles Homeless Services Authority.

Applications are accepted in-person, via mail at the temporary leasing office, or email at laveranda@abodecommunities.org.

Only one (1) application per household will be accepted. Submitting an application does not guarantee your eligibility for an apartment. All documents in the application package are mandatory and all documentation must be completed, signed, and dated prior to submission.
You will receive confirmation of receipt when you submit the complete application package.
All applications or statements of interests, including those mailed, must be postmarked by June 7, 2023 to enter the lottery. Applications received after the application period will be placed on a waiting list after the last lottery number, filed by date and time of receipt.

Lottery
When the rental application is submitted, each applicant will be assigned a lottery number. Lottery numbers will be pulled at random to determine the order in which rental applications are processed. The lottery will take place on June 23, 2023 and applicants are not required to attend the lottery.
Eligibility
Applicant households must meet the resident selection criteria requirements for the Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program, as well as the Project-Based Voucher program governed by the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles.
